Dave Jimenez Podcast Leave a Comment

gearonthecheapIn this week’s episode, the boys talk bring you some recommendations on how you can get some running/triathlon gear on the cheap. A few of their favorite places to bargain shop are:

Use the Amazon Wish List feature to tell your friends and family what they can get you for the holidays)

Also check out your local TJ Maxx. They have a fairly good selection of performance gear at great prices.

Another great way to pickup great gear on the cheap is to buy it at the end of the season. There are always great deals available then.

Dave then shared some interesting information about the value of some of the larger bike related purchases that triathletes make by giving Randy a pop quiz of sorts. They provide you with some quantitative data from the studies below about how much time (in minutes) the purchase of things like aerobars, triathlon specific bikes, race wheels and aero helmets get you when you buy them.
